European Commission services informed that Flash Consumer Confidence indicator in euro area in November was -6.8 points, 2 points down compared to October and close to its pre-pandemic level.

On SundayTelecom Italia (TIT) announced that the US private equity company KKR has made EUR 10.8B offer to purchase Telecom Italia for EUR 0.505 per share. Board of Directors informed that the intention is “non-binding and indicative” and aimed at the delisting of the company. It is qualified by KKR as “friendly”. Monday Telecom Italia’s shares are up 28.6%. Its largest shareholder is Vivendi with 23.75% stake in it.

Sweden-based telecommunications operator Ericsson (ERIC-B) fell 5.6% after it announced that it enters into agreement to acquire cloud communication provider Vonage Holdings Corp. CEO of Ericsson said that Vonage gives a platform to help customers monetize the investments in the network, benefitting developers and businesses. Acquisition is for USD 6.2B and a closing is expected in the first half of 2022.
